National Small Business Week

May 20th began the sixth year of the National Small Business Week (NSBW) hosted by the Small Business Association (SBA).  This event honors and empowers small businesses nationwide.

During this event are speakers covering a wide range of subjects important to the success of small businesses.  One of the highlights of the event is the recognition of outstanding contributions of small business and entrepreneurs across the U.S. Awards areas include:

 

  • Small Business Exporter of the Year
  • SBA Young Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Home-Based Business Champion of the Year
  • Women in Business Champion of the Year
  • ... and more
For those unable to attend in person the sessions May 20 thru May 22nd there will be live streaming from the National Small Business Week website.  The sessions cover a wide range of topics including networking, social media, business matchmaking, and more.  A complete list of the sessions is available, please note that the times are in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
