Do you know Ada Lovelace? Perhaps not. Tech history enthusiast or those in England, may know who I am referring to.
Today is the fifth annual Ada Lovelace Day a celebration of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Born in the 1800s in London, this woman is considered to be the first computer programmer. As a teen, Ada, met Charles Babbage, a mathematician and inventor known as the father of the computer. As the story goes, Babbage invented the difference and analytic engines, Lovelace translated and expanded with her notes, creating in effect a computer language.
