JUGCN Wed Sept 11th at 11 am - EasyBlog

​Every second Wednesday is the Joomla User Group Chicago North (JUGCN) meeting.  This Wednesday, Sept 11th we will be giving an overview of EasyBlog, a blogging extension from StackIdeas.  

To be clear, blogging can be done in Joomla! by creating articles.  With the latest enhancements to categories, tags and custom fields you can do all of your blogging with core Joomla. To display them, our favorite particles (used with Gantry framework) you have more options for enticing layouts than the typical Joomla category blog (we will explore this more in a future blog).  

That aside, you may want to use a blogging extension.  EasyBlog, is the extension that we have installed for our clients for years.  We like it with it's easy to use interface, especially for adding "embeddable" like videos, images, pdfs, etc.  Autoposting and sharing, 3rd party integrations and newsletters are among the many features that make EasyBlog a favorite.
