Microsoft Viva Intranet Portal

On February 4th, 2021, Microsoft announced Viva, an intranet portal based on SharePoint.  For many who have been working with or struggling with creating an intranet using SharePoint on-prem or Online, this may be the welcome news you've been looking for.  This is more of an out-of-the-box SharePoint portal, Microsoft is terming an "employee experience platform".  The four "experiences" are: Viva Topics, Viva Connections, Viva Learning, and Viva Insights.

Viva Topics aims to make finding information easier across an organization manually creating topics or using AI technology. A free 30-day trial is available if you have the required Microsoft plan.  

Viva Connections aims to nurture and shape company culture helping employees make connections and in their words, thrive.

Viva Learning aims to bring learning opportunities to employees as a natural part of their work day. You can sign-up to receive updates. Microsoft has many partners to offer training.

Viva Insights aims to provide offer personal, private, manager, and leader insights to encourage team well-being and build resiliency.

Details are still rolling out but I, for one, am curious about these new products.
