Golf FORE Youth

For the past several years we've had the privilege of providing our services to Palatine-based non-profit organization, The Bridge Youth & Family Services, for their annual golf fundraiser.  This event helps The Bridge raise funds to provide services to children and their families, regardless of their ability to pay, to keep them happy, healthy and together.  It's an organization that does amazing work for the youth in the northwest suburban Chicago area.

The day is filled with food, fun and fundraising. The golfers get to show off their skills with course games like Beat the Schmo, Tee it Forward, Longest Drive, and of course Hole in One, for a great cause. The day includes lunch, golf, auction (silent and live), and dinner. Some supporters are not golfers or maybe can't commit to a full day and come for dinner. Past participants have always commented on how much fun they have while supporting The Bridge.

While we at Danico are not golfers (or maybe we're just really bad at it), we love being able to use our technology and organizational skills to assist The Bridge. We use a mixture of technology and paper (yes, I said paper) to check in golfers, record bids and check out golfers out at the end of the day. We use a program called Auctria (formerly Charity Auction Organizer) for this and other events. We've been using it for several years.  Rob, the creator has been such a great help over the years adding features and providing support that helps us to provide great service for our clients. Auctria continues improve with added functionality, including the much sought after mobile bidding and text alerts.  There are a few different levels to meet need and budget.
